So before 1.5, I was running Minecraft at around 150 - 200 fps. I've recently updated it and it won't even go over 7 fps.

with 1.5 im running a steady 156 FPS. try to remove old mods... backup all your files in your .minecraft file and delete it.... restart your minecraft client, let it download the update. and see if that improves things.. my bet, you will be fine.
I've found the problem. I think it's the Texture Pack. I had Sphax 1.5 and now I've changed to the default Texture Pack and now I'm back to 100 fps.
