WTF MINECRAFT CRASHING?!

ever since the last update (1.4.2) my minecraft has been crashing at random times (mainly when i go into options) so my minecraft is stuck on hard mode cuz i was bored and made a hardmode world.. so im not happy, it hasnt crashed since i got it (about a year and a half ago) its just frequently crashing so theres no point going on because i know its just gonna crash

Did you try redownloading it?
My Minecraft crashes too. this is strange and so annoying.
