It's official: I am making a server. I just need an idea on how to make a good faction base that would appeal to Minecraftians. See, I want members, not just a faction with me, and my mate.

Another good idea for a base is a skybase. What you do is get a lot of blocks together, tower up to almost the sky limit, and build your base. The only bad thing about sky bases is that they are hard to modify. The solution to this is to make a larger base than you think you will need, saving room for anything that you might remember or need later. Many people don't constantly look up at the sky when looking for bases, giving your base a good chance of not being noticed at all.
I play on mc.novscraft.com server and this helped me with my faction base.

Under the sea. It's quite tricky, make sure you've got your stuff with you. What I do is swim down to the bottom of a sea bed, dig about 3 squares long, sit in it, then place a dirt block on top of myself. This stops you from drowning. Then, add a torch, and voila! Then.. get building.
Um i had one in mind in doing on a faction server.
It is a rlly tall hill in the middle of the sand, also hill is outa sand.
It will be surrounded by a really deep hole that contains lava.
On the hill will be also tall walls, if u will get blocks with commands then i would prefer making the wall outa Obsidion, and the things the wall will be protecting will be houses that each have a certain thing, like a house for mining/ chests/ Nether Portal etc. Also making a basement under the hole thing would be also recommended, if anything happens wrong u can flee using the basement, that is connected with underground paths, which will then make u come up behind the enemy and kill them. Also Putting dispensers(idk how to spell) on top of the walls will help u so u just like place a plate throw something on it and then it will spam arrows at anyone down!

ive made faction bases underground with apartment like homes and corridors with different area like farms and armories, hope this helps and if u need help with the server i can help u
I find it funny when ppl on a server I play on make faction bases that look like tiny homes. When you go in there is usaully some kind of seeecret trap door and it leads

Well, a Faction should be hidden when your starting out. But, if you are strong you can make a fortress or castle and if you feel modern maybe an orginisation building like the ones you see selling Mario and Sonic games XD
