Can someone help me with making a server.
I looked on the official Minecraft page about it and I'm really confused because I don't have a clue about coding.
If anyone could help that would be great.
Thank you :)

Hey Making a server is super easy! What type of server are you looking to make? and is it just for you or is it for you and your friends?
I can show you how to home host a server for you and your friends, but If you want a public server to give the IP out I would just purchase a hoster!

Your best bet is a server host like server.pro or SkyNode (they have free plans). It usually consists of starting the server, accepting the EULA, stopping the server, adjusting server properties and restarting. Starting/stopping the server is usually just a single-click button, the dashboard will help you accept the EULA in the case of SkyNode, but on other hosts you might have to open up eula.txt and edit it. Most server settings are in a file called server.properties. Every time you edit that file, you'll have to restart the server. You'll also most likely get to see a "console" which is where server output appears and commands can be executed. Run "/op <name>" to give yourself the ability to run commands.
If this still sounds too confusing, maybe my recent blog post about getting yourself a free server helps. After just step 1 and 2, you should have a server to play with friends on, the other steps are to get a fun domain name (myserver.abc) and can be ignored if you only plan on playing with friends.
