Hello, I am a newbie to the idea of minecraft servers and world building. I have an idea that has been perculating in my brain for a few years and as an avid minecraft player (single player) I am thinking minecraft might be the solution I need. Because I have never built a mod, a world or a minecraft server, I don't know the limitations.
So my idea is to create a server world that allows a place for people to have a digital memorial that they can visit and possibly converse with others mourning similarly. This would be for those who are mourning a miscarriage, mourning an abortion, mourning the loss of life due to IVF, or other situations where there is no physical burial options.
My thought are that I would want to build an invite only world where there are strict borders, no mobs, and players don't have the ability to break or change anything, only to place a provided headstone and maybe place provided flowers.
Is this feasible? I am ready to put in the work, but wanted to get input from those who have gone before me if this can even be done.

I think it is possible, you would probably need some kind of land or plot claiming plugins to do so
that sounded like a idea that i had but then became very confusing and at the end was nothing like my idea

Thanks for the replies. It sounds like it is worth pursuing. I will start learning how to setup a server, build a world, etc. 🙂
It'd be pretty simple, all you need is a map and the player's usernames. then you can just set everyone in adventure mode on load, as long as you know how to port forward, can buy a server, or are willing to use aternos (which in my opinion is pretty laggy and hard to play) then it's definitely possible.
I agree with AcoYT it should be pretty simple
I feel like you could also use proximity chat, because if there's too many people it could be hard to keep track of player messages (but that's just an idea)
