Problem with modded lan server

Me and 2 other friend wanted to try minecraft with mods. I start the lan server with hamachi and 1 of them joins but the other cant join. On our screen it shows he left without even joining and on his it shows logging in and then connection lost:Timed out.
Today I tried normal vanilla 1.12.2 with the same friend and there he joins for a few seconds and then he leaves again. On his screen it is the same as the modded version. I hope someone knows of a solution for the problem. I have played with him modded minecraft before so i want to know why it stopped working now.
