Starting a Serveraccount_circle

I have a working Technic Launcher modpack and I would like to create a server for the modpack but I have been unsuccessful.

There is a existing server working for the modpack but I do not have access to the server's file directory.

I guess I need forge-1.12.2 and I am unsure if I need SpongeForge.

I copied all the mods from my Technic modpack folder and I am unsure if there is any client or server versions of the mods, as well as any possible additional assets for the server side.
