How to tag or "@" someone's PMC profile

I just wanted to @ or mention so many people in different posts. But idk how to? So I've just settled for using the link then linking their profiles that way like this:

(As an example I've used my own profile)

This only works on desktop, but you need to type @ and then someone’s username
if that username has multiple separate words, like my friend Le Piaccu, you would keep the tag together by putting underscore instead of each space:
@Le_Piaccu
(on mobile lol)

You need to MoonGoddessAlthea with a @ separated from the rest of words.
You do an @ then type their username, and click on the one that shows their profile picture and name, but it doesn't work for mobile. When you do that, it should look like Panda_Wolfe (I'm using my username as an example.)

It only works on desktop. There, when you type the @ symbol, a menu comes up with a list of users. Typing more will narrow the list to only show names that begin with what you typed. When you click one of the buttons in the menu, a mention will be inserted into the editor.
If you have access to their user ID, for some reason (I have no idea how are you going to get that without opening DevTools/Inspect Element), then you can use that in BBCode.
