Multiple Versions for Resource Pack

Hello! I'm new to this site and I'm going to be uploading a resource pack that alters the UI, however I was wondering how do I offer multiple versions? I believe 1.20.2 changed the way the GUI files work, rendering 1.20.1 packs incompatible, and vice versa. So, is there any way to have 2 different versions, one for pre 1.20.2 and one for post 1.20.2? Should I make two separate resource packs to host each version? Thanks!

The post-a-pack feature here does not allow multiple versions in one post [directly, there are work arounds].
(It also doesn't allow one to designate a back as being for multiple versions — which most are.)

The most common work-around is to host the multiple versions elsewhere (Modrinth and CurseForge being popular), then link form here to the page that supports the multiple versions.
[This is what I did for Expensive Diamonds due to the changes in datapack formatting between 1.17 & 1.18 ]

At present the site rules do not appear to address this, best to stick with the commonly used work arounds until they are updated to do so.

P.S.
I recall changes made to UIs about then [I think that was when the sprites were split out as individual files], but do not seem to be able to find the reference.
If you've a source that describes what was done and when, please share a link
