I need help. Everytime I add a picture to my profile it says I can’t. How do I get images that are the right format or aren’t too big? Please help.

The widgets should accept at least jpg, png, & gif formats (also some others).
Images need to be accessible on the web (rather than uploaded directly from one's computer)
see: How to post images for some basics
Try adding only some plain text to the widget ("TESTING" or similar) then editing the widget to add the image[s] and any fancy text.
[I'v no explanation for why this works, but it seems to do so.]
If those ideas fail, you might consider filling a trouble ticket with the site.

Thanks for the help but I’m not a techno person. It sounds like a foreign language to me. On the profile it says to choose a file but all my files are too big so I’m just really confused. I just want a profile picture why am I having such a hard time :(
Pardon, I'd not realized you were trying to upload an avatar/profile picture (I'd thought you were trying to add a graphic to one of the widgets).
For profile pictures, just browse your hard disk[s] for teh photo you want which must be: in.png, .jpg, .jpeg, or .gif format with a maximum filesize of 350.0 KB
If the file you want is too large, you might try an online resizer:
https://picresize.com/
this is far from the only such (see below for the next two that came up in the search results), but this one has a feature that allows one to specify the maximum size for the new file.
https://imageresizer.com/
https://www.imagetools.org/rescale
[ NOTE I've not used either of these, but they may be easier than using a graphics program with which you're not familiar.]
