Has anybody made a 2x drops datapack for 1.18.1 yet? Or if I were to do it would I be the first to do it?

Probably not you would be the first so get started don’t hesitate, just because someone else has made the idea you should still make it. As long as you don’t copy the code and you make it in your own way they shouldn't be able to claim you stole it or copied it if thats what your afraid of. You have my full support on this project if you need it.
