Help with custom dimension features

trying to add a forrest with cutom trees on a custom dimension, but i have no idea what to do. i tried to add the tree structures as "features" but nothing generated. can anyone guide me through or link a tutorial?

you should probably ask the r/MinecraftCommands discord for help on this. There are many more worldgen experts in there

ok, i am trying to make a different dimension, and i want that dimension to have special tree. i am asking how i get those special trees to generate in said dimension

Many people use structure and jigsaw blocks, maybe try that?
