Stacking non stackable items Help

I've been working on a datapack that allows one to have coal nuggets as fuel to sort on an one for one. I'm using a custom wooden hole for the nugget. I have the crafting recipe and the smelting working. I just can't figure out how to get the coal nuggets to stack.
