Its funny how nobody likes roleplaying minecraft, yet, the yogscast is roleplaying in every adventure map they do, and I reckon more than half the people who don't want an rpmc like yogscast.
The enderdragon doesnt pick up blocks but when it touches a block poof! So yeah dont build towers cuz you'll be screwed, especially if its a sand tower...

yup me to
frankly there are probably already SP mods out there to remove stuff you dont want. I know there are ones to add stuff so the opposite should work.
there are plugins to disable certain mobs and you can blacklist certain blocks this will keep minecraft to the level at which your mind can handle it.
Personally I think what ever Notch adds into the game is awesome! because just remember we all opted in to buy a game still in Beta, with no clear line of where it was going.
as to the version numbers it is as IBloodstormI has said it is version numbering not 1+1 Math version 1 release 10 when he switches to version 2 it will start again at release 0 and go up again. here is a list of all sorts of brain numbing stuff http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_versioning

i think Notch improved Mincecraft with every single update with more or less useful stuff. Some more resources would be cool.

except we aren't talking decimal numbers here, we are talking version numbers. 1.9 doesn't mean 1 and a ninth, it means release 1 version 9. 1.10 will mean release 1 version 10 and so forth.
Thank you! Guys, this isn't a math course. We're not adding and subtracting decimals. The first number, 1, is the release number. The second number, .10, is the version number. So, instead of it being "one point ten," it's "release one, version ten.
Sometimes, versions will have many release numbers such as 1.309.8392 and so on. This doesn't even follow the rules of conventional math:P
