it doesnt need minecraft: behind it, this also works: execute @a ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~-1 ~ stone 0 tp @p ~ ~ ~3

this should make you teleport when standing on stone

So I actually wrote a pretty long text, before I saw what the real problem is...

/execute @a ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~-1 ~ minecraft:Blockname 0 /tp qp ~ ~ ~3
The @p was missing.
If this doesn't work, I will write you my long answer xD ^^

it needs to have "minecraft:" then put the block name after. if it was block of quartz you would put this; minercraft:block_of_quartz

The "minecraft:" prefix isn't actually required in commands. I think the actual problem is that there shouldn't be a slash in front of the "tp." I can't test it out right now, but another problem might be, like Zoyarox said, that the tp command needs a target selector. With those changes, the command would be like this:

/execute @a ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~-1 ~ minecraft:Blockname 0 tp @p ~ ~ ~3

I'm not sure, though, that this command would do what you want, MaxScapeCraft, because you were sort of unclear in your original post.

I see no problems in the command. If you are getting the unknown command, then you must be typing in execute wrong.

Are you playing in 1.8?

put this in a command block and clock it.

put ur Block in Blockname . then who steps on the block he gets pushed 3 blocks away.
