I know this is unneeded but I was curious to the maximum FPS I could obtain in the game with my midrange gaming pc. I took a screenshot with no chunks rendered on High graphics settings and this is what I obtained. (I know it is useless passed 70Fps so don't spam about that) >---Experiment Only---<

Optifine lowers my FPS xD. Also my highest FPS ever was with my Dual core 2.5GHz processor. Which was like 1150 FPS.
That is weird that Optifine lowers your FPS it is supposed to enhance the FPS and give you better gameplay.
I changed all my optifine settings to the lowest possible.
11 fps, boosts to 40 when I hit escape.

I hear that! I get 15-20 fps with everything turned down all the way. It's kind of annoying, but what can you do, y'know?
... Dude your staring at a single color...
Yes I know that's the point i wanted to see the highest obtainable FPS you get more fps in the air. When chunks are rendered I get about 1000 Fps

I have the same computer except I have an i5... You don't get 1000 fps on average, don't you mean around 180-450? Which I get using far+64 except my lowest is about 90 sometines
You have an SLI Graphics card and an overclocked CPU?
Lol my jaw dropped when I read that. My laptop specs are (copied and pasted from my YT vid about it):
-3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-3632QM processor (6M Cache, up to 3.2 GHz)
-Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English
-8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM
-NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 640M with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM
-Silver Anodized Aluminum and 15.6" FHD 1080p Truelife WLED Display
-750GB SATA hard drive (7200 RPM)
-Integrated slot load DVD-RW
I plan on getting a 500GB SSD and about another 8GB of RAM before I go to college next August. With that said I average like 200ish FPS, but recently been getting like 80 and idk why
