MrLolEthanwww.build-gaming-computers.com/ this site is very helpful. You need to just build your own if you want a good one.
Use http://pcpartpicker.com. It's better, more updated, and has a better interface.
I use a laptop, if I were to sacrifice the portablity of my laptop and being able to move it around and watch tv etc whilst using it, then I'd want something as sleek as a mac.
Just my opinion..

Lol, now going offtopic, I know you can game on Macs and Laptops, but the gameplay experience is suckish. Laptops and Macs are for work not gaming.
How can you play Minecraft with a Mac unless you do a bunch of custom binds ?

Alienwareee
Noooooooo Alienware is as bad as Dell!
And would you people stop being stupid? Laptops can be for gaming. Not all are. This thread is almost as bad as all the assholes who think you can't game on Macs.

I still stay by my statement. I am currently on my father's ultra-expensive laptop and when it comes to gaming, it sucks. While my recent old $500 computer (It costed $500 4 years ago) runs GTA IV on Full HD >.>
ThatsMyPickaxeBoozaJJrambo96I'd suggest getting a good gaming laptop
I completely disagree with you. Everybody knows laptops ARE NOT for Gaming.
Laptops are made so you can carry them around and do work. So they are mostly for your job and business. I would NEVER suggest someone to buy a laptop for gaming purposes. Most of the laptops (Even if they have a pretty nice processor and RAM) have a gpu that sucks. And the worst part is, only thing you can adjust with laptops is RAM. So I stay by my statement, laptops for gaming is like getting a fork for eating soup.
I've used a fork to eat soup before. Very hard. Anyways, yeah, I've used some decent laptops, even they lagged on Minecraft.
Laptops can be for gaming. You just need to know what kind to get. A Lenovo probably won't be very good for gaming. However a Clevo or even a high-end Dell would be good.
Don't believe me? Go take a look at the 3,300+ people over on /r/SuggestALaptop.
Do not demote what you have not researched. It does not end well.

Im stuck with a second hand laptop which VERY SURPRISINGLY used to reach 200 FPS with optifine EXTREME render distance but now I have destroyed this laptop. I agree with Booza %100!
I'd suggest getting a good gaming laptop and a large monitor. I used desktops for years and I recently bought a laptop. It is at least 5 times more convenient than my desktop and it performed amazingly for an entry level laptop. I take it around where ever I want to go and if I want to game I just set it up on my desk and plug it into my keyboard, mouse, and monitor and I am ready to game. 2 Years ago I would have said buying a laptop for a main computer instead of a desktop is insane. Now with new technology making laptops smaller, lighter, and more powerful than ever before, there is really no reason not to do so. Considering you have a budget around $1000 I would recommend getting a really nice laptop and a decent 23" monitor.
I'd suggest this for a monitor, I have it and it is amazing. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6824236079
I have a lenovo and I think they make some of the best laptops out there. This one is a bit more high end than mine and the graphics card is pretty extreme. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6834246629

DO NOT buy a computer! You will just get ripped off for a shitty one.
You should make one yourself.
My suggestion is to get Game Booster 4 (AMD Machine) or make an intel one yourself.
Laptop are for pussies. Desktops hardcore!
Laptops cost around 3 times more for same kind of processor/RAM/etc.
Get a SSD 64GB or 128GB Drive for OS and other Important things.
Get 1TB HDD
Get 8-16GB RAM.
Get Intel-core i7 (Or even better i5 but you gotta Overclock it, it will work better then i7).
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 850W
Cooler: Xigmatek Gaia
A nice GPU would be something like 660, 670 or 680 Nvidia GTX for that money.
Case: Enermax Fulmo Advance
Mobo: Asus P8Z77-V Pro
I am not sure if you can afford it, but that's a computer that I will think will last at least 4-5 years! So save up for it or just edit it for your budget.
