I have been playing on creative mode since I first started playing minecraft but...
I don't know how to build really good designs for creative mode:(
My designs for creative mode are too boring and I want to spice it up a bit for example..
Boring creative designs- small wooden houses.
interesting creative designs- modern day gardens and houses.
and also interesting survival designs...
building a fortress with a garden and vegie patch with a mine.
Also boring survival designs
building wooden houses again that are small and non spacey.
But the question I am asking what do you think is better in your own opinion?
creative or survival ?

Okay, I am going to get this straight!!
I think as for what I prefer in my own opinion . because they are different to me because that is what they prefer is better for them.
I prefer survival mode better for me, why? Because I love resources!!
I think in my own opinion survival mode is better for me and that's why I prefer it.
But if I were to make a statement and say survival mode is better then creative mode and you all have to agree , THAT would be a trolling issue!!
And I don't troll!!!
I respect the opinions of others within the forums.

I built a massive house in survival while yes, you are right you can build much larger structures in creative then survival due to flying.

This post doesn't make sense. Creative mode and survival are 2 of the exact opposite. one can't be better that the other if they don't have any similarities.

I think this depends on which person/player you are in MineCraft.
Some people like doing PvP, Hungergames, Minigames, all that. They are most likely to choose - Survival mode
Where other people like, Builders, Artists, all that are more likely to choose Creative Mode.

survivali more realistic but i don't like that mode, it's the same thing over and over:buld a house, tools, go mining, fight mobs and all that...in creative you can fly around and explore a lot more without worrying about bringing tools and torches and an armor

But I prefer survival at the moment because I can harvest resources.
You should try out a tutorial on survival mode.
Survival mode is cool because it's rewarding and you can harvest a crop by craft and killing mobs that are either passive or hostile.
You get all the resources for crafting materials and you get to create your building materials by craft as in creative you don't get to do that.
I don't mean to force my opinions on anyone but I guess not everyone is the crafty type.which is all cool...

Oh yeah, I think creative is better unless you want a really good design and your a fantastic artist in fact and want to create bigger layouts.
While on survival is better because you have the ability to harvest your natural resources and use them.
I would say both are good unless you are either a creationist? or a craftsman?
Either way they are all good. But in my own opinion I think survival is way more rewarding and better then creative because you get to earn your materials.
But in one way creative is better then survival because you get infinite materials and can build your heart out and design anything from your imagination while on survival you don't get that chance.
I should make a poll for this.....
