MY first project

Since i think this helps me the most...everyone who wants to help post a link to a picture of a starter home or good,small house! Thanks everyone to helped i'll try to make a really good house and post it here on P.MC.

Try to put some different colours in the walls, for example, I love making the walls our of white wool and logs on the corners, like this:

This is on singleplayer if thats what u mean as legitly,and thanks for the tip i'll replace dirt with wooden planks...i'll upload an interior picture very soon.

I don't think you should use dirt for a house, probably. It gives it a weak look.

Also, try making it bigger, with more materials than just 3. I have the same problem two, I end up using 5 materials and only those because I'm too lazy to use any others, and they seem like they're just useless adds. But they're not.

Need help once again for new house.

Doesn't look like much right now, but it is a good starting layer of construction. I recommend less logs, and replace the outlining of the doorway with something else. It doesn't really match.

If you guys wanna,post links of other peoples(or your's) starter homes and i will make my home based on several,like i'll see how some people make their fountians,or their furnace area,or their bedroom area,things like that!

So,what i'll work on when i wake up tommorow is a little wooden house,will upgrade with ideas,with log frame,and some windows.

Okay here's a few tips.


Don't make everything out of logs.

Brick goes great with floors, not with walls (It's weird right?)

Glass :3

the log and brick mix is ugly
try some planks and loose the bricks

Glass is a good idea, it'll light up the building in a different way. And a red carpet stands out to the browny log look.

Doesn't really look good if most of it is made out of logs, make log frames and wood inside them.
