Found a bug!

I was playing 1.8.1 on singleplayer creative when I decided I wanted to build in the nether, so I when to the nether and this is what is saw:

I know these fellas don't die as quick in lava, but surely they shouldn't spawn in it? This is really deep lava in the middle of nowhere, and they don't look bothered or anything I mean, wtf!?

Probably Lava with a block underneath it.
