It's been years since I've properly played this game (or used this site), but I'll keep my story short.
Ever since I started playing Minecraft in November of 2011, I've always had problems staying devoted to the same world. At least, when it comes to building. I can mine and explore for hours on end and not even become slightly bored, but as soon as I start constructing a base, I just lose all interest and feel the need to start a new world, or just stop playing entirely.
Does anyone else have this issue? Also, do any of you have a suggested 'fix', for lack of a better term?
Thanks.

If I start getting bored I will look for things that I think would be cool to have around my base that I havent built before or maybe a new style of building. The last server I was on I got bored and decided to remodel my entire house from the ground up in a Shinto Japanese era style. It kept me interested for quite a while and was very beautiful when I got done
If you lose interest when making a base, I suggest playing a few favorite songs while you hollow out a cubbyhole in the side of a mountain. Once it’s big enough just slap on a door and windows and you have the exterior. Throw in a few chests and other essentials and you’re done. Go back to mining as soon as possible.
Alright, I'll try that next time I boot the game. Thanks for the suggestion, man!
