Help Me!
Hello,
Well, I'm a little pissed off right now so I'll try to say all of this with out cursing alot. To be short and to the point, Minecraft will not run. I was getting on to play today and I accidentally hit the options button. After this I didn't know that is what I hit, so I happily hit force update thinking that the new update had been released. So I hit log in and it starts to load normally, but then freezes at one moment in a pecentage. I close Minecraft and open it again. I do not hit force update and when I hit log in it told me and update was avaliable. Expecting this to work now, I press update and it begins to load a little slower. This time is goes further but freezes again at one point! This is the point where I get frustrated. I reload Minecraft once again...and this time hit not now when it asks if I want to update. It immediately goes to a black screen. I looked it up and couldn't find any answers, other then to re-download the game. So I make one more attept to log in and it fails, so I delete the game. I copied my saves this way I have my single player world back. I got the game again and when I hit log in, it does not try to offer and update. When I think its fine and dandy again, it freezes while loading. I'm very mad right now, and frankly I have no clue what is going on, although I know it isn't a java issue. HELP!

disable your firewall or AVG as these block minecraft from downloading any files, after it downloads IMMEDIATELY put them back up.

nvm..i would jsut surgest deleting everything and worst comes to worst make a portable and just use that
Step one: Type Windows Key + R at same time
Step two: Type %appdata%
Step three: Find .minecraft
Step four: Delete .minecraft
Step five: Start MC and it will make a new .minecraft
YOU WILL LOOSE SINGLE PLAYER DATA, TEXTURE PACKS, ETC! Back them up if u want to keep em!

Ok Just Type .minecraft On ur computer then u copy your worlds located in saves folder then delete .minecrfaft search on google .minecraft 1.2.5 download ok i might give you one with modloader snd stuff if u tell me how to get a zip it then u unzip it

Oh my god, it is now getting stuck at lwjgl.jar 0%. What the hell!?
Ok. I am about to try again and hope it works, if not I may, but don't know if I want a portable portion.

redownload the game and see it that works.

Yes I don't think it is a java issue, as I have had none before. The only thing I can think of was maybe I didn't fully delete it or deleted it after I re downloaded. Well, I guess I need to keep trying...
That certainly is a predicament.
Have you tried deleting your .minecraft folder, so there are no instances of Minecraft left on your computer, and then re-downloading the game?
That's just about the only fix I can think of, if you're sure it's not a Java issue.
