Help with Server

Hi, I am trying to have my server go from being hosted on my pc to a friend of mine's pc. What we can't figure out is how to let him host the server, but I can still add plugins and edit files. The only thing I can think of at the moment is Multicraft but there may be other ways. Can someone tell me please if there are any other ways to do so?
