where is the plate? You cannot eat your beef with a giant fork without it. The food can plop on the grass and you will have 5 seconds to pick it up then
the fork is for stabbing animals not for stabbing beef
Not understood. About what in the picture are you asking?

b/c there is grass in inventory, but no shears? (I'd assumed the shears were either not in the hotbar or had just broken)
