Idea for 1.8
Hello ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ this is my first forum post XD ok anyway to the point i have saw pics of 1.8 notch adding server list i think he should add like a create a server button and change name choose map to play on(custom map) or generate one also decide what plugins to add in. reply to this thread for any ideas you have

Hey dude first off endermen kill they wouldn't be in peaceful second if you don't want endermen to be in minecraft at all delete them from your bin.
should add a damn villige and the drill(: and more minerals and wepons

More realistic growth and farming. Moss should be added(an example for medicine creation which I believe someone suggested above). Apples, oranges and etc should grow from trees. Also adding a bit more variety of creatures to make the worlds feel less empty (Kangaroos would fit perfectly for this type of game ).
i'm not whining, he said himself it was made to be a simple game. i love everything he is bringing out, i just don't want things that don't suit minecraft ruining it.

drinkable cow milk and diffrent types of fish. more achievements,more minerals from the periodic table, time machine but needs diamonds and silver. chairs you can sit in, beds heal, frogs that give frog legs, waves, sharks, octopuses fight back, cats (give you fur), wolfs attack cats, mice that get chased by cats, make cheese with milk, toilets, spaceship, outerspace, snakes, lizards, and crabs
ye, simple stuff. i did some reserch and here is what i have found
1. hunger is being implanted
2. torches burn out, lanterns (new) dont but need glowstone
3.real difficulty, when you die, game over
there is more, but those are all i can think of atm

Yeah,some of these ideas on here sorta defeat the entire concept of the game for me.
Mine-able Bedrock,That defeats the concept of not falling into the void.
Platinum,Bronze,Silver ect.,Minecraft has enough ores to last,any way,if you are a Homie,you call iron silver
And,You some people saying (this is not quoting anyone) Notch better add electricity in 1.8!
I'm pretty sure he won't add something like that,in an update which is all about the adventure update,who knows he may add it in the future,but not in 1.8.
Now i'm done ranting,what i would like to see in Minecraft,is pretty simple,Torches being able to be turned on/off by redstone,and beds healing you

minecraft doesnt need all this new stuff, it doenst need any more tools, i doesnt need money, minecraft seems like it doesnt need much more. this would be a good idea for a mod though, i just dont want to see all this stuff in the vanilla game
i agree, minecraft was made to be simple, not a hugely complicated game. all this stuff would be cool, but not in minecraft as it is meant to be a very simple game.

I don't get why everyone keeps saying this. Minecraft was made to be whatever Notch decided it should be. So why are you all whining when he adds stuff to his game?

Also, Minecraft seems to be set in the past so far, seeing as your weapon choices are bows and swords. I think that they should add crossbows, since they are making bows manual and you have to pull back the string a certain amount to get it to shoot. I also think they should add grappling hooks,locked wooden doors, thieves tools (for servers that allow it, you could use them to open locked doors), keys (for locked doors), horses (to tame and ride on), dragons, magic arrows, and more animals such as deer, bears, big cats (lions, tigers, panthers, jaguars, cheetahs, etc), birds, and peacocks (feathers can be used for magic arrows).

first off i think it should be easier to make a server and skeletons should be able to run out of arrows and have to use a sword
i think more boats should be added like lava boats and battleships and i think there should be more to the nether like ores

Totally agree with Asterite. And, yeah, beds should heal a little health. Not too much, because it would be too easy like that. But i think drills, cars, wagons, and new ores are a great idea.
Maybe more trainy looking carts with normal carts can hook on the back for online..and active volcanoes along with earth quakes and tsunarmies (I know I spelt it worng) like in a certain area there is a chance of them and in other places its rarer to have them. Also it would be cool if you could craft a weather thing where you put it on a wall.. and it would say today - rain tomorrow - sunny and stuff

Platinum is used as money in a lot of MMORPGs. I play Dungeons and Dragons IRL and Online. They both use Platinum as currency also.
