it says minecraft has run out of memory on my new laptop when i play minecraft. how do i fix this?

Are you using a hi-res texture pack? Any water shader mods or similar?

try setting your video settings lower and/or remove any extra mods you might have loaded and try again.

Its your computer running out of memory for Minecraft. Restart your client, and continue playing if that doesn't annoy you..
