Update is way to messed up with multiplayer all servers lagg with like 1 person or more on :/
I love this update! There are so many new items and I love the book and quil. The ender chest actually is expllosion proof! I still have no idea how to work the tripwire though.
The tripwire is pretty easy to use actually!
so you see you craft two trip wires and gather a couple strings you make two oppositte walls(so far its what ive tryed) and place a tripwire in each of them.... then! you place a string in the blocks between them...Voìla!youve got your self string and tripwire! now just connect the tripwire blocks with redstone to what you want it to work with!

How about server optimizations and bug fixes? There have been so many fixes. Not every patch will be a content patch, and NPC's is a HUGE step for Minecraft, just because you don't know how to Google "Hamachi" doesn't mean it is useless

Yes.
LAN or Local area network is only for your house and area so if your friend comes over you and him can play together with no one else you just have to press start LAN on the menu in gameplay
LAN stands for Local Area Network. And so far my understanding of LAN is that someone must be connected to your network if they want to connect to your singleplayer world.
