im trying to find a MC user but i dont know the IP he is on. is there anything i can use for this?

I heard there is a 1.6.4 mod that you can "add" to your game.
It lets you have friends and see the IP they play on.
I kind of think it's pointless, because the player you're trying to find has a 16% chance- more or less- of having that mod.
