I am a mac user. I have tried to mod it, but it never seems to work. I have tried to watch youtube videos, but none have seemed to help. If anybody has a good link or advice, Please Reply.

Download Single Player Commands.

Go to the Finder and press Shift-Command-H.

Now go to Library->Application Support->minecraft->bin.

Backup minecraft.jar - a.k.a. COPY (don't just move) minecraft.jar to your Desktop. In case you mess up, this is your safety file.

Hold down Control and click on minecraft.jar (NOT the one on the desktop), and select "Show Package Contents".

Open the "META-INF" folder and delete the "MOJANG_C" files.

Copy ALL of the files that end in ".class" contained within the Single Player Commands mod to the minecraft.jar folder, replacing the existing files. Yes, this means that you overwrite them when it asks you to.

Enjoy the mod.

You have tried to mod what? You just say "it".

What exactly do you want to do?

i want to add the technic pack, and toomanyitems mods to my mac. I'm on an early 2011 with lion ios. whenever i try the pc route of simply opening the .jar files, i think it reads it as corrupt, and creates a new .jar. every time you try to open a new one, it does the same thing.
