MAJOR EXPERIENCE ORB PROBLEM!!!

I don't know if this has been said before, or what not, but here is my story:
My friend an I are on my server are we have been playing SMP for about a week. We died a few times, but were always together when we did, so we instantly pick up the other person's items. I died and he picked up all my orbs and items, then came back up to our base. While I was eating dinner, he died and all of our orbs flooded our main lobby. The server was extremely lagy, i was getting about 1 a frame every 2 seconds. The only way I could fix the server was to go into MCEdit and delete the entities of the orbs. The orb count was somewhere around 2000! Ill post some pics of what happened.
Is Notch trying to fix this, or are we on our own?

This is just a bug it happened to me once, Ask this guy, Deathmarine this has happened to us on a private server
That test for jumping is only 1.9....If you actually looked at the screenshot it says 1.8.1... but yea, I have that problem alot. I suggest you just regularly jump into lava.

Not really for testing Notch made you get a ton load of XP when you jump so you probably got alot of XP from that without noticing then upon death you dropped everything.
