Mal Ware In Mods??

I tried my first mod today, and was shocked to find out that one of them had a Trojan in it. AVG and Spybot both flagged my MC folder as having Trojans in it after installing a mod loader and a couple of mods... I don't know but I am pretty sure that the mods were tampered with as I re downloaded them directly from the MC forum and go no more warnings. I know that this is probably the way most people do it, but like me, there are a few who are still dumb enough to just use google and accept whatever link is provided. DON'T DO THAT! Bad mojo will ensue if you do. Get the mods directly from the source at the MC forums or from here.

there were a couple mods here that were .exe files rather than .jars. Do NOT EVER run .exe files without fully scanning them first!
(when we found them, we scanned 'em, and yep, they were trojans... account hijackers actually. We deleted them and we banned the user.)

Don't download mods with no pics or from out of the water people.
Always scan it before you put it in your jar.

you cant trust all mods here also i have gotten bad files from here also so who knows
