Is minecraft dying?

Buddy Be Cool, who told you the minecraft dying ? If you don't like it after a long time involved in , then you may move to play another one. The Best choice.

I think It's not. It's always been youtube'd like..I MEAN EVERYWHERE! So, nah. It's so active it's annoying.

for my feel, it does feel like its dying, i miss the old survival.
Since the adventure update it is, but overall, the game isn't even getting started it seems.

I just think its some of the things in the updates; people don't want potted plants, we want horses, we want notch back, we want better redstone, ect.
What i'm basically saying is that they should listen to what the players want added more.

As long as Minecraft continues to get updates, it will be alive & healthy! :3
I play an average of about 3 - 5 hours a day because this game ish sooo addicting!

You guys really Need to Stfu about kids playing minecraft go on a server like Cursecraft they have 13-14 year olds running that server and its a top server so no kids dont ruin this game you just dont think of it that way...

Nope I still play it every day and make mods etc for it and still have my own server
with lots of great members

I don't think it is dying. According to Dinnerbone, Minecraft received a LOT (I don't know the exact number) of new users!

Personally, I think the 14 year olds of the community can be immature, but at this point, many are not. Although I think the Minecraft community is larger then ever, It has been overrun by people under 11. Some of them are smart, others are dumb.

I think they should just stop releasing the snapshots. They spoil the whole update and it isn't as exiting to download and play with the updates. But that's just my personal opinion.

If you're worried about a video game dying go do something else.

for me it was getting old playing everyday for 6 months 2 hrs a day but then I got a variety of games like skyrim, team fortress 2, happy wheels and now im starting to get back into minecraft, i dont think tht the game is dying maybe some players are bored of the community idk

Since Minecraft expanded onto the XBox and to Apple products, the Minecraft fan base is growing much faster than before instead of dying.

In my opinion the odding community is what minecraft will become, vanilla is boring mods add a bunch of new stuff

as a modder myself i have experience of that

I definitely agree when you say the updates come to fast, they need to slow down to an update every couple of months maybe, especially with the pvp maps and adventure maps because you build something using the latest version and then a new update comes out and "breaks" your map.

the updates....oh the updates.....why make it so complicated. ok minecraft, the base game is a block world in which to let creativity roam. some updates add challenges to complete, uneccesary challenges that are not needed but can make the game better. then there are the complicated things. the newest update is coming out with so much new redstone that my head is going to explode! if mojang wanted the game to stay fun but complex dont make everything incredibly confusing but make it more action packed. like the mo creatures mod. it adds new things to the game that make it fun but not complicated. i dont know if everyone feels this way but i think minecraft needs to stay simple and blocky, dont even try to add a circle i swear you will die

Minecraft isn't dying although I do think that the developers of the game are making it too much of a ''Non-Minecraft'' game.

The community is growing and so does the game, although I do think that the game could slow down a bit more with updates etc, because it eventually is going to become a weird game in terms of ''Spacecannons and such, just let it be Minecraft with it's iron and coal and pickaxes and all be good.

The main thing I like about this game and why i've been playing it since 1.8 is it's simplicity.

I reckon it's gonna continue to grow for a few more years...then something else (maybe the Universe Project) is gonna take over.

The problem with the minecraft community is the updates.

People generaly play minecraft after updates, and after a while they get bored.
That doesnt only affect server activity but also in the whole community. People already have seen most things and aren't interested anymore.


Now this is only what I have experienced for the past years, so correct me if im wrong

I don not think it's dying at all. I think it's growing strong. Just look at the PMC stats on how many people are online. On popular days, it used to be 7000 people online. Now if it's 7000, it's a quite day

It's not dying, you're just looking in the wrong places. Yes, us true crafters are being overrun with trolls and children who're just wanting to mess around, but we're still out here.

I think its getting destroyed by 8-14 year olds, so immature
