Here are some ideas for Mine craft!
1. Tornado's and other natural disasters
2. Add Mo'Creatures in to minecraft
3. Make obsidian tools and armor and blocks
4. Add the Aether
5. Add more mobs into the Nether
6. Make bedrock flat
7. Options to turn TooManyItems on
8. Have Notch make Minecraft again! LOL
9. Be able to enchant arrows so there can be explosions
10. Make public servers easier to create
11. Make people stop freaking out when a girl plays Minecraft (This will never happen)
12. Make people stop hacking (Stupid people xD)
13. Have people be able to post stuff on Minecraft.net
14. Have a option where you can go on missions.
Some of these ideas might go in Minecraft (if were lucky enough) and some of them are just adding mods that are already made into Minecraft

I agree with number 3, obsidian tools were actually used IRL(doesn't really have any significance), unlike diamond and gold. As for number 8, Jeb has done a terrific job so far, he's not as lazy as notch and seems to get the work done. Hence the reason notch is fat, and Jeb is skinny, Jeb hustles. Number 12 can be solved simply by installing no-cheat or a plugin like it to a bukkit server. Number 13 seems pointless since there is already planetminecraft.com and minecraftforum.net. But yeah the first couple are good ideas, i think in the future we will definitely see more mobs and more tools. As for duel wielding, that would be amazing but probably will not happen.
I think add magic rings wands staffs ect plus wizard armor which increases strength
I really want dual wield for touches swords and blocks and maybe even shields
There is a craftbukkit auto installer, that could help for #10.
