So I've been playing recently playing the Elder Scrolls 3 & 4 in anticipation of Skyrim's release (and the official release of Minecraft ). I was playing along in Balmora (one of the cities in Morrowind) and I had the idea that I could build the cities of Morrowind (or as close as I was able).
Has anyone ever tried this? How did it turn out? Is it too difficult? I know I've seen some crazy crap in Minecraft, like Minas Tirith and Helm's Deep, but honestly the architecture in those places isn't half as complex as some of the places in Morrowind (the Vivec canton anyone?).
PS. Also, woot, my first forum post here, lol.

Well actually that is something I am doing at this very moment. I have Seyda Neen done, and I intend to create the whole of Morrowind in Minecraft, using the Morrowind texture pack to help me, lol as it adds the feel. It is not impossible to do, it DOES take a lot of time... and is difficult, but in the end it will be rewarding. I posted it on the minecraft boards, if you are still interested.
but here is another guy building it and imo was better then the one on jesses its 70% ish done

Vivec would be time consuming, no doubt, but due to its symmetry I think it would be easier compared to Balmora, which needs that natural landscape built up around it. A city in the giant tree/ roots style would be cool. Like Sadrith Mora, or Tel Vos, with the clashing Imperial castle, being crushed by the growing roots... I want to play some Morrowind now.
