Sometimes, Minecraft gets too overloaded and you cant login sometimes
But NEVER FEAR! Shut down the computer for 5 mins and re-open it.
As for the website, too many players go on the website at the same time, which causes random shut-downs
Just wait 10 mins then go back on the website.

Yeah. If you decide to play offline, you can't get on a server, and if minecraft.net is down, then you can't log in. If you can't log in, the only way to play 1.3.2* is to play offline.
*You can still play Classic or the demo mode!

Does that mean all the servers are down too?
