Missing Dog

Hi me and my friend were playing on our server and my friend got a dog then we built a cave in a mountain for it we left and headed back to our base. I hit my friend when we were mining because I was annoyed at him for something then I remember if you hit the owner of a dog the dog gets angry so me and my friend went to check on it when we got to its cave the door we made for the cave was gone and the sign that said the dogs name. I remember where the cave was so I destroyed the dirt blocks blocking the entrance and........ the dog was gone me and my friend didnt no what happened to it but then my friend picked up rotten flesh where the dog was. The dog couldnt of ran off because There was a door and it was sitting we didnt know where the door or the sign went. after that we built a grave for the dog but we will never know what happened to the dog.........

On the first Picture the dirt that was covering the cave is gone because we destroyed the dirt blocks when were trying to find the dog.

on the third picture you can see there is a block missing on the wall
