i know this may seam like a stupid question but how high and far can spiders jump?
i want to build a defensive wall but im not sure what spiders are capible of since i have only played since 1.2.5 and i read they can only jump 3 blocks but that information was posted about a year before i started .

If you make the top of the wall stick out towards the outside (where the spiders are coming from) the spiders will get stuck. (they can't climb upside-down)
spiders cant climb soul sand. but thats the only one they cant climb.

The problem isn't that they can jump, it's that they can climb.
They can climb walls. If you put a wall they will probably be able to get over it :/
