Right, so I was wandering off and on my travels I found a pink sheep. Oh, well this is rare, I thought. Having found only 4-5 Pink sheep ever before while playing minecraft.
For those of you that don't know, the chance of encountering a pink sheep according to the Wiki is 0.16% out of a 100 I think
So I used my sheers on it and got It's wool. I then kept running and found ANOTHER pink sheep not too far off in the same biome. I thought no way! No way I'm this lucky! So i did the same thing to that sheep. Then i went a bit further and I found a third! Then a bit further And i found a group of sheep with three pink sheep in them... What the heck? Is there something I haven't been told? Is there a glitch? Am i extremely super lucky? Is there like some sort of crazy secret biome with common pink sheep or is the pink sheep chance increased? WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?!

Right now I got like 31 pink wool from this but there's still alot of them arround.
My game is NOT modded and It was in 1.9 Pre-Release 2.

Wouldn't it be awesome if that was possible? Like breed a red sheep and a blue sheep and have purple sheep?! Or red sheep and white sheep for pink sheep!

Notch has added a new breeding animal feature, so I'm pretty sure when you have wheat in your hands animals will follow you.

I just also want to let people know that I didn't breed the pink sheep because sheep color is NOT retained when breeding a new sheep, It's allways white.
I did NOT dye them either.

So I killed all the pink sheeps I've found so far, relogged a couple of times, slept in a bed and it seems that normal sheep respawns, but the pink ones do not. ( I think) But If i go to an undiscovered part of this plains biome ( Which is quite large) I'll find a new batch of pink sheep.
I bet you sheared them down the moment after you took those pics.
