Hi, I'm planning to create a mod, ( my first mod ) and I have no Idea how to create it..
I thought about a kind of a big mod, but i'll start with something simple.
So here is my questions:
- How to create a new block
- How to create a new recipe
Please, if you are a modder, I'll really appreciate your help!

Download mcp and then learn some java.

Its simpel. LEARN JAVA THEN WANT TO BECOME MODDER. If u learn java, u will just need google to get MCP and then using your java skillls and MC source code, u will start making a mod.
Step one
Learn Java which will take about I don't know, a month to a year? it depends.
Step two
Open class files with a Java script editor or decompile the jar first.
Step three
If you do not understand my words, you will probably never make a mod, sorry.
so all in all their isn't really a program besides the MCP thing to help you make mods.

Also, your not going to be able to make big mods, unless you really know how to code java. U know whats a JDK?
are you a coder? if you are, i need help, i have tryed to install JDK7 and then i try to set the path but, the path i need isnt there!
How about you try mod maker? You do have to set it up manually but its worth it and, there are videos for help
With it you can make:
New block,
New recipe,
New item,
New furnace recipe,
New food,
and much more!

So what type of Mod are you wanting to make Spoutnaki ?
Awsomcool1, you must set your environment path.
Right click my computer.
Click Advanced system settings.
Select the advanced tab.
Click the environment variables button.
Find the system variable entry called 'path'.
Click edit, a box with a number of paths separated by semicolons.
Here you have to add both the java home path and java home\bin path.
If you have further questions, just ask.

Just go to one of your java jdk files, click propoerties and copy the path from there, then do what revolutional said =)
Also, if you don't have the "path" there, just go on and make it.
