Once during my second day I was playing Minecraft, I was building a house and I saw a Steve dressed in full golden armor. I was in singleplayer, LAN was not open. Anybody know what it could have been? (I'm NOT lying)

What version are you playing on? In the early days of minecraft, there is this mob called human. It is a hostile mob and was removed later.
Hmm, Rhinocermas is probably right it was a zombie. If you were playing in anything other than peaceful (or easy too, I think) then humanoid mobs can spawn with armour and tools.

I remembered it being a Steve, but I think by humanoid you meant the zombie looked like a Steve, I don't remember if it had it's arms in front of it like a zombie, and I was too chicken to go on survival and I think I had it on peaceful, but I may have not known how to set the difficulty
