v1.82 will be a couple of weeks away. The 1.80 version that comes out wont have too many bugs or glitches but there will be a lot of exploits that will need to be patched before it becomes a stable version.
I looked on one of the official websites and it said 8th... that got postponed .... then it said 12th... taht got postponed.... the reason i'm annoyed is why release a specific date when your not really sure when it wiill come out thats why i'm annoyed mmeeeooooOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They never said that was the defined release date, it was an estimate that was not official. Play the pre-release or just be patient.
I repeat: they never actually announced an official release date, so how can it be postponed if they never confirmed that it would be released on those dates in the first place?
Would you rather play 1.8 filled with bugs? I think not. I don't like their delays either, but enjoy 1.7 at the moment, it's not laggy and buggy like the 1.8 pre-release. I'd rather just wait for the full thing. Try out mods for 1.7 in the meantime?

Well i think it is important because we have all been looking forward to it on the 8th, which got postponed . Then we had to wait for today and now it has been postponed again so the true minecraft gamers would get pretty annoyed. I wouldn't go as far as swearing but it is annoying :/
They deliberately leaked the pre-release to keep people happy. As is widely known, there are many bugs that need to be fixed, so play the buggy pre-release or just wait for a better version...simples
It IS annoying, but once you played the pre-release, you don't care of 1.8's release anymore. I've done everything that's in 1.8, it's not like it's the official minecraft release, I'm just looking foward for 1.9. D;

Yes I do agree but there are many children on this forum and a lot think its cool and mature to swear. It is against the forum rules, and for a brief period they censored everyone's posts and PMs. That didn't work out to well and they removed it.
I have heard cyprezz is working on a new filter, hopefully he gets that out soon. Too many forum posts are being eaten by curse words. Anyway, Have a nice day.

It doesn't really matter when it is released, it will be at least 1-2 weeks before they release the hotpatches up to v1.82 which will actually work without any serious bugs/exploits.
ok at least it will probably be released sometime this week
Its likely that it won't be out, considering there was an overwhelming amount of bugs to fix, but it will probably be released by the end of the week.

It is unlikely to be out today. It will likely be out some time this week, there are a LOT of bugs to be fixed before it can be released. Play the pre-release until then?
