Um, nobody will want to write that out lol...If i could get help, ill try to upload a map with it on it...But i recently made a map, but i don't know how to make it a schematic to upload it here to PMC...you know how?

alright conq.
Step 1
Build a 2x2 spiral staircase up as far as you want the elevator to go.
Step 2
Place a piston that pushes you up the first stair block.
Step 3
Place any material (preferable something easy to find) like so, and lay down redstone on top.
Step 4
Place two more blocks as so. Put a repeater set to 2 ticks on the first block, and more redstone on the second block.
Step 5
Place a piston under the second block that you just placed.
Step 6
Place two blocks like so.
Step 7
Place two more blocks, and add redstone and repeaters as shown in the picture. The repeater is set at two ticks.
Step 8
Put a piston underneath the second block.
Step 9
Repeat steps 6-8 as you spiral up the staircase. If it isn't working for you, you probably built the staircase incorrectly.
Step 10
Place a button next the piston you placed in step 2.
Step 11
Place a block right there.
Congratulations, you've built your elevator! To ride your elevator up, walk against the block placed in step 11, stop, hold shift, and press the button. For some reason, this elevator only works when you sneak, so make sure you hold shift throughout the whole ride. If you stop moving after going about halfway up the elevator, make sure you are sneaking the whole way. If the elevator still isn't working, make sure the delay for the repeaters is set for at least 2 ticks. Anything faster, and the pistons will outspeed the player and will abandon you halfway through the ride.
As you've probably noticed, this elevator is only 1-way. To get down, simply build a drop pool or a waterbreak. This is one of the simplest elevators, and albeit being ugly, it's compact, easy to build, and gets the job done.

Its acually a pattern that you can see if you check out my upload
Conquerhow do i make a Piston Elevater. whats the best way. I cant watch youtube so step by step would be good.
I made an elevator and its in schematic format, just check out my uploads and you'll see it...idk if you have already got what you were looking for
here is what i did
1)think how it could work
2)make IT
you don't have to watch any vids on it just think about it.
and this is what you get: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llLef1djpIQ

I know a way but its wayyyyyy too long to describe to while typing.
Pistons are very finnicky. There really isnt a way to make a straight up and down elevator because the piston blocks dont work like that. The only way to do it is have the pistons push you 1 block up, then 1 right, then 1 up, then one back, etc. I tried doing it and my attempt is in the projects section if you'd like to see. I gave up on it though because its was very frustrating.
Acually, i know a way in which it sends you straight up...Key to it is not using sticky pistons but normal....It is impossible to make a straight up elevator that looks like a legit elevator
