ok well i was makeing a walkway then i put a torch on one of the wood planks i come back and its set on fire how is this?

it means one tree was near a lava pool, caught fire, and finally spread to that tree.

Ok well this one day I saw i giant tree then started to turn night so I went to bed (there was no lightning!) the next day i went to chop it down it was randomly on fire!

Maybe your text pack makes fire look more like torches and torches like fire? Or fire is flint & steel in this case.

well the fire wasent burning the blocks but as soon as i punched the fire out the fire one the sides spread and burned half of it down D:
