Most if not all of the community DOES NOT care if you hate 1.8.
Many of us happen to like 1.8, and we dont care if you dont, I mean everyone can have an opinion, just go back to 1.7.3 or get a mod that removes the things you dislike, simple as that, no need to whine to the 1.8 lovers (I happen to love 1.8) whining about it is illogical and I quite dislike it.
P.S I dont see your problem with the food bar,just get food, its not that hard

Yeah, I for one would LOVE it if the difficulty level had more options and possibilities to adjusting it Normally I only play in creative mode, but when I do play survival, I want full on action for the money. So the abillity to define my own difficulty would be hit the spot for me

Regarding 1.8 overall. Then I'm definately pro-1.8 it's a beast of an update Sure thing there is a few glitches to be corrected, but hey, the game is still only BETA, so in time I belive it's going to be even more awesome than it is atm

Well i seem to remember hearing notch tweet about it and a friend telling it to me and since he said he would add it in 1.8 but never did i guess it will be in 1.9.

Just get food??? JUST GET FOOD??? have you ever even tried one of those 1.8 servers that don't have bukkit?If the griefers dont kill you starvation will!Its nothing but a waste of time.

In singleplayer just turn it on peaceful til u find food or get toomanyitems :3

1.8.1 is really, really great! food bars make adventure maps, well, Adventurous! charging arrows, is awesome, more damage per charge! pretty sure, notch is gonna do something with enderpearls and EXP points!
