Is it me or are there all these new plugin devs coming up and making really simple plugins? and getting them posted? Does anyone else think that there should be some process for all mods?

As Astraah said, you gotta start somewhere, and some people aren't as experienced as others, resulting in more simple and basic plugins.

Yes I know people have to start somewhere, but the Mods section is being clogged with these, and other plugins and mods that took a long time to do are suffering because of it.

I feel your pain.
I'm seeing such basic plugins, like /setspawn, and /home plugins... all of which (and many more) come with Essentials.
I know you gotta start somewhere, but posting it on here is spam (imo).

I mean silly things like no Tnt, and also a custom join message, something that essentials implements in....

I just don't like when I see 3 "BLOCK FIRE AND LAVA BUCKETS" in a row on bukkit.

My first plugin was an addon to GriefPrevention allowing people to sell and buy claims with signs. Something usefull.

It's not bad to be proud in a simple plugin you have made. Everyone starts there. I started doing things like that and now I'm making such more advanced plugins.

What's wrong with simplicity?
