So it looks like this right:

button1 --------- tff

button2 --------- tff

button3 --------- tff

button4 --------- tff

So you want each button to go to the other wires. Button1 would need wires going to button2, button3, and button4. Button2 would need wires going to button1, button3, and button4. Button 3 would need wires going to button1, button2, and button4. And button4 would need wires going to button1, button2, and button3.

I also recommend using a RSNOR latch instead of a T flipflop (tff). You then will be able to hook the button's redstone lining to one end, and then the other redstone lining (the ones that turn it off) to the other end.

hugecameronOk, here you go. Hope you like it! This design was made by a guy named Dico200 and he is my friend. I do not take credit. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=23wla1h&s=6

Think your friend can make a design where the buttons are spaced with a block in between them kinda like this

A - Air
B- Button

B A B A B A B

EDIT: After building this in creative and with a few tweaks got it to work with 4 buttons spaced apart. Please tell your friend THANKS! also thanks to you for showing me this.
I did. And you're welcome, I'll be willing to help anytime.
