Jeb tweeted that minecraft is being updated to 1.1 today. These updates include:
A 1/200 of apples dropping from oak saplings
Sheep eat grass and regrow wool
Multiple languages
Eggs to spawn almost every mob in creative
Every music disc can now be obtained through a skeleton killing a creeper
Brewing takes quicker
Biomes vary, hills in deserts and such
Beaches are re-added
Can now choose what world type you want, default or super-flat
No more void fog
These look like the sort of updates people like as oppose to the various rpg-ish updates.
What do you think?

You're on level 5 when you generate the map. You're going to see a lot of slims... So its recommended you use creative, not like you would use any thing else...

They're meant to be like they, they don't collie with the player anymore. this is so that when trying to climb down a 1 block hole with ladders leading up it, it is not really hard to get into the correct place.

liking the update so far, my melons (that's right, begin the jokes... now) and pumpkin far are a lot more efficient, my wool farm can now be downsized due to the regenerating sheep. i'm sure i heard mention of the mob AI being changed but not sure what they changed.
think i might change to the pirate language, could do with a few yaarrrs in minecraft.

Yeah, they added this "Pirate language" and it's pretty funny. Multiplayer is called "Play with yer mates" or somehting and to shut down Minecraft it says "Delay yer adventure"

Im Icelandic and now i play minecraft in Icelandic wich makes me superhappy but still They didnt update Furnace,Inventory and Crafting... It has to be Ofn,Hlutirnir Þínir and Verkstæði!!! It makes me Pissed!

My texture pack seems fine, since no blocks were added, except for spawn eggs, gotta check dem spawn eggs.
A sheep I sheared right before i exited my world yesterday bent down the milisecond i opened the world and ate some grass, it looked funny, but it was fine
EDIT:Strangely, some of the blocks have a moving fire texture on them, probably an effect of the update, but i can live with that
im using Yet Another Yoshi Island by Lunaqua
EDIT2:lolol, all the spawner eggs are invisible, just have a few triangles in each corner, but i guess i can manage, i mean, you wont be able to get them in survival

While I'm excited for updates, I'm also not excited. Servers, mods and texture packs pretty much just got finished for 1.0, and now it all has to be done again? I think no

FML. I had no warning for this, and now my server is outdated.
Seems like every one of these freaking updates tries to just add another thing that bukkit already does, causing us to go and have to reupdate all our plugins ._.
