Server Hosts
After realizing that there are no threads concerning server hosting and being a server owner myself, I have decided to create one. This thread is only for discussion on hosting. ANY ADVERTISING IS SUBJECT TO PMC RULES AND REGULATIONS. This should be based off of trusted sources and personal experiance. Thank you. - Civ

I reset the poll to include home hosting.
Spartanhost is really good.
Beastnode, creeperhost, mcprohosting all in my opinion are to expensive. I personally use minecrafted.net at the moment, its also cheaper

When I went to the website, it appeared to be very expensive. You get what you pay for I suppose...
Part of me agrees, I used Shard for a while and I was fairly disappointed. However, some people do not have powerful enough computers/internet to run a server (like me )
SkaiaCraftusing Hosthorde for my server. its the most inexpensive, very basic service, powerful and good support. i used to host at home, which it worked well until there were too many players connected for my internet provider to support.

Been with BeastNode for nearly two years, now. Nothing but great service!

Plus, home-hosting is a heck of a lot more secure if you know what you're doing, however you'll need a (relatively) powerful server to combat (D)DoS attacks, should you make someone angry enough to want to launch a network attack on you.
