Yes, as others have said, modding keeps the game alive and reaching out to new audiences. Plus it makes the community more actively a part of Minecraft, not just passive consumers.
Ja, det ville vært bedre.
modding makes minecraft better as people can chnage what they like and still play te same game
As a mod creator I can say
Mods are what makes the Minecraft Java today and the reason why it is still as lively as ever.
That is until you find out... the new EMCB mod!! Featuring 400++ decorative blocks in both HD and 32px resolutions!!!!!!
(Mod is available in my page clic my name)

they keep them alive until we find out about your new mod....so you just killed java by advertising :P
the reason why i put this poll up is because i hear many people say modding is the worst thing to every grace the internet and i hear sometimes modding i the best part of minecraft but i hear many fights over this topic and i want to see the community's views
i love to hear your answers and views so thank you for replying and voting i put only if not a virus because there are websites that have real mods but also add a virus to your computer

true facts
Obviously mods.. I mean, how many people use Optifine to make the whole game better looking or more manageable where graphics is concerned (dynamic light ftw!)?
I can't bring myself to play Minecraft without Optifine and well... it's basically a mod ;)

I don't consider literally adding a virus or malware to someone's game "modding".
When you really think about it Mojang is very grateful towards people in the modding community of Minecraft.
In fact, many of the things that were initially added to Minecraft via mod actually became features of the vanilla game.
We probably wouldn't have pistons, horses, and more in base Minecraft if Mojang hadn't noticed the popularity of those mods and understood the demand for those features.

obv yes, getting rid of mods would probably kill off a good percentage of the minecraft community
Mods is fine. One of java editions main good points is that its modable
Bedrock has almost no modding capabilities, a alot of people from the Skyrim/Rimworld/Stellaris/Terraria communities who also play minecraft play it because of all the possibilities with mods, which I think makes it a much bigger and better game then bedrock could ever be.
IIRC, the main reason they didn't completely remove java when they made bedrock is because of its modding capabilities.
Another thing is that some people find the vanilla game to be a little boring and repetitive, mods completely remove this because of how many possibilities their are for mods to use and make

I think modding definitely enhances the experience. Wish it was more universal. Like from PC To PS To IOS and in between. I def like to play with mods. Definitely expands upon the vanilla/base experience as well.
I don't see why not...? Why is this a debate?
Yeah if you don't like modding then just don't use mods.

I think modding is fine, if thats how you prefer to play. I personally dont play with mods, unless its the Aether mod, which i rarely play. However, i do play with quality of life datapacks, such as instant portal travel and double doors.
i understand all of your thoughts thanks for the replies and please subscribe i am back again and want to be active but i need a community that wants my posts thx :D
I used to be a vanilla purist (am lowkey still tbh) but mods can be great, and there are so many that add to quality of life! I have a few that keep a fairly vanilla feel, but do things like give villagers names on spawn, fell trees easy, and help pets be a touch more independent.
