im not entirely sure if its possible, but a datapack that would make the existing trident in minecraft deal more damage. i find it rather annoying how little damage the trident does for the amount of struggle it is to get it. ive tried making this myself, as i have made a datapack that stops a trident from falling into the void in the end by summoning a block under it. id be happy with an explaination of how to make this myself too, if you would rather choose another idea :>

you should be able to just grab the {damage:100d} tag of the thrown trident, maybe 2x that and insert the new number in the damage tag
